Blue Butterfly Solutions is me, Tammy Schaefer. I have over 25 years of experience in different administrative roles as well as starting a few small businesses and learning how to build them. I’ve always worked well independently, but also enjoy the dynamics of a team.
My journey began when I attended a business school in my early twenties to obtain a legal secretarial sciences degree. The knowledge I gained gave me a starting point to spring forward from. A challenge energizes me, but I’m not above doing the minute, foundational tasks to promote order for successful growth.
After working in the corporate world for several years, I decided to strike out on my own and start my own business. Over the next seventeen years, I used the skills I’d learned in various administrative roles to build a residential cleaning business, a pet-sitting business and resume writing business.
A few years ago, my husband took a hotel reconstruction job on the road and I worked as a virtual assistant for his boss. Bringing order to chaos has always fulfilled me and being a virtual assistant in the construction industry taught me to be flexible and adaptable. Due to unforeseen circumstances, the job ended, and I decided it was time to use the new skills gained as a virtual assistant and revive the skills from the past to create a new business…Blue Butterfly Solutions was born.
