Hi, I’m Tammy Schaefer, the heart behind Blue Butterfly Solutions. I’ve spent over 25 years doing what I do best: bringing calm to chaos, organizing what feels overwhelming, and making sure the right things don’t slip through the cracks.
My path to becoming a virtual assistant wasn’t a straight line. It started back in my twenties when I earned my degree in legal secretarial sciences. That opened the door to administrative roles where I learned how to juggle schedules, prioritize what matters, and support people in getting things done.
Over the years, I’ve worn a lot of hats: business owner, team member, problem solver. From running a residential cleaning company and pet-sitting service to helping people rewrite their resumes, I’ve always been drawn to finding solutions that make life easier.
In 2016, my husband took a job that had us traveling a lot. That’s when I first stepped into the virtual assistant world, helping his project manager stay organized in a fast-paced construction role. And I loved it. I realized that I could support leaders, not just in construction, but in all kinds of businesses. Giving them the systems and support they need to stay on track without burning out.
Today, I work with established business owners who are doing great work but need someone they can trust to handle the back end. People who are ready to stop juggling everything alone and finally have steady, reliable support behind them.
