Cats are a lot like our clients and customers.

They want to know we’re around, but they don’t want to be chased. They may act like they’re not paying attention, but the moment you stop showing up, they notice.

Take my cats, Gwennie and Cassie. They don’t always want to be held or hovered over, but they do want to know I’m nearby. If I leave the room for too long, they’ll come check on me. Just knowing I’m close brings them comfort and builds trust through our daily routines.

And honestly? Your audience is the same.

It might feel like no one is reading when you consistently send your newsletter. You might wonder if it’s worth the effort. But here’s what I’ve learned: people are paying attention, even if they’re not saying anything.

I’ve been sending my newsletter every other week for over two years. I’ve only missed once during that time. And even though replies aren’t pouring in every time, every now and then someone reaches out after a long stretch and says, “Hey, I’ve been meaning to contact you. Can we talk about how you might help me with my business?”

It’s a quiet reminder that consistency builds trust that works.

To make that consistency easier, here are a few tools that help me stay organized so clients always feel like I’m present, even when life is full:

Pallyy – My social media calendar for planning and scheduling social posts

TidyCal – My calendar scheduler for simple, reliable scheduling

MailerLite – for sending newsletters

Trello – for organizing ideas and content

Stella – my trusty AI accountability coach who helps me sort my thoughts

These tools don’t replace the real work, but they make it easier to stay connected and visible, even during busy seasons.

If you’re starting to wonder whether your emails or posts are being seen, remember this: someone out there is quietly watching, reading, and remembering you.

Keep showing up.
